What Makes Kahawa Coffee Different?
We work closely with carefully selected farms and maintain full traceability from farm to cup. This close relationship allows us to understand exactly where the coffee comes from and how it was grown.
Kahawa selects specialty grade coffees known for their clarity, character, and quality. Each batch is roasted in small quantities in Asunción to highlight the unique qualities of the beans.
The result is coffee that reflects both the character of the land where it was grown and the care taken throughout the roasting process.
Is Kahawa Coffee Sustainable and Ethically Sourced?
Yes. Sustainability and fair sourcing are central to how Kahawa coffee is produced.
The farms we work with cultivate coffee using organic and regenerative practices that help restore soil health, support biodiversity, and only use organic and natural pesticides and fertilisers.
By working directly with farmers, we promote fair compensation, transparent sourcing, and stronger farming communities.
What Brewing Method Works Best?
Kahawa coffee can be enjoyed with many brewing methods. Popular options include:
- Pour-over (V60 or Chemex) for a clean and bright cup
- French press for a fuller body and richer texture
- AeroPress for a balanced and smooth extraction
- Espresso for a more concentrated flavour
- Automatic drip machines for a convenient daily brew
For the best results:
- Use freshly ground coffee
- Brew with filtered water between 90°C and 96°C
- Adjust the grind size to match your brewing method
- A general guideline is a 1:15–1:18 coffee-to-water ratio
How should I store Kahawa coffee to keep it fresh?
Our coffee is roasted in small batches and shipped shortly after roasting. For the best flavour, enjoy it within six weeks of the roast date — though it will keep well for up to three months.
After opening, store your coffee in an airtight container at room temperature, away from light and heat. Avoid refrigerators and freezers, and grind just before brewing whenever possible.
Do you offer a coffee subscription?
Yes. Kahawa offers Paraguay's first organic coffee subscription. You choose your preferred coffee, grind size, and delivery frequency, and we take care of the rest — fresh coffee at your door before you run out.
Early subscribers receive 22% off their first subscription order, and you can pause, skip, or cancel at any time.
